Why did you decide to become a florist?
Spending time with my Nan, who was one of the original flower sellers in Liverpool, I loved the buzz of the job and the constant scents of fresh carnations she would have in her home.
I took a keen interest in helping her at weekends. She used to take me to the flower wholesalers with her. I knew from a young age I would follow the family tradition. My Nan was self-taught, so I decided if I was to go into this industry I would learn the trade professionally.
What is your favourite flower and why?
I love scented jasmine, it’s one of my favourite flowers. It’s renowned for its healing powers to help induce relaxation and improve mental clarity.
When you’re not working with flowers, what do you love to do on your days off?
I love spending time with family and friends and I especially love finding new places to enjoy delicious cake and coffee!
